Common Reactions to Energy Healing (And Why They Happen)
So you just had an energy healing session—Reiki, chakra balancing, breathwork, or another form—and now… something’s shifting.
Maybe you’re glowing and deeply relaxed.
Maybe you’re crying and not totally sure why.
Maybe you’re just tired.
First of all: you’re not alone, and you are not doing anything “wrong.”
Energy work moves more than just your mood—it moves stored emotions, stress, and even subconscious patterns. Your body and soul are adjusting. That’s a good sign.
Here are some common reactions to energy healing and what they might mean:
1. Physical Sensations
During or after a session, you might notice:
Tingling, heat, or chills
Muscle twitches or stomach gurgles
Fatigue, heaviness, or feeling “floaty”
Aches, nausea, or even a light headache
This is your energy system releasing what it no longer needs. Think of it like your body doing an internal “spring cleaning.” Fatigue, for example, may mean your body needs rest to integrate the work you just did.
2. Emotional Release
Crying, laughing, or mood swings? That’s energy unblocking. You might feel:
An unexpected wave of sadness or grief
